Walk-in Chambers

Walk-in, door closed

If you need a chamber large enough to walk into (or drive into), then Russells Technical Products is your vendor!

Over several decades, Russells has built hundreds of Walk-In chambers to satisfy all kinds of testing applications.
For testing refrigerators & appliances. For storing museum artificacts. For temperature/humidity testing of electrical panels. Pharmaceuticals. Undersea cable assemblies. Munitions. The list goes on and on....

Your starting point in this category should be consideration of a Modular Walk-in, since these are the most economical and frequently chosen type. Constructed from modular panels that interlock together, these chamber enclosures can be assembled like a kit!

The photo at left shows a Modular Walk-in. Note the pre-fabricated (white) panels which are "mixed and matched" to create the enclosure specially tailored to customer needs. The (blue) machinery package, which encloses cooling compressors, refrigeration circuit hardware and controls sits adjacent to the chamber.

These economical Modular designs are easily configured to customer needs, readily dismantled for transport & re-assembly and can control Temperature & Humidity over a reasonably wide range.

The alternative is a Unitized construction, which is fabricated as a custom enclosure using similar techniques to most other chamber types. This style utilizes a large, welded steel frame which cannot be disassembled, so represents a transport challenge from the manufacturer to the customer! (Do-able, but a challenge never the less!).

Unitized Chambers provide extended Temperature & Humidity range & faster Temperature change rates than their modular counterparts. They can also be equipped with heavier, load-bearing floors and are more durable for heavy-duty applications.

Regardless of which construction method best suits your application, let Russells Technical Products bring their decades of experience to the task.
